FNAF 2 Tips and Tricks

Welcome to my blog. Today, I’m going to be talking about how to be good at Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. In my opinion, this is the very definition of multitasking. You have to check on the animatronics, wind the music box, be aware of the Withered/Old animatronics and keep flashing that light at Foxy. Don’t worry, though. I’m here to guide you.

1. Wind up the music box

This is the most important part of FNAF 2. You may be able to wear the Freddy mask to ward off most of the animatronics, but when the Puppet is out of its box, there’s no stopping it. Hopefully it won’t come to that, just remember to keep an eye on that pesky box.

2. Check the vents

This may seem like a tiny detail, but this has saved me from life and death a few times. For example, Balloon Boy is invisible to all cameras (freaky, I know,) but he isn’t when he’s in the vent. BB disables all lights which means CHECK THOSE VENTS.

Side note: the last stage of the vent animatronics attacking is looking up from the vent right at you so check the front lights, too. That’s even more important.

3. Flash the light at Old Foxy

This is almost as important as checking the Puppet’s Box. The mask doesn’t work on Old Foxy, and the only thing that does is flashing your torch at him. This is super important because if you don’t, he’ll jumpscare you. Night 3 is hard to get to and he’s very, VERY active on that night. I got halfway through 5am, almost winning, when I got jumpscared by him.

4. Get the mask on as fast as you can

On night 3, the Old animatronics are very very active. When you hear their buzzing, which signals that they’re in your office, get off the monitor and tap on the red up arrow as fast as you can. It will seem like they have gone, but really, they’re hiding under your desk. Keep it on for a few more seconds and hopefully they will be far away. Unless you were too slow, then you’re getting a very nasty jumpscare

5. You don’t need to check all the cams

Most newbies make this mistake so listen closely. You don’t need to check all the cameras. Yes, it’s a good idea for you to get familiar with the pizzeria on Night 1, but it will get harder and harder as you progress. The only cams you need to check from Night 2 to Night 4 are the vent cams and the Prize Corner (the music box cam.)

When you get to Night 4, this is what you need to do. Check the Prize Corner, wind it up for two seconds, get off and put the mask on instantly. This is important because you need to be way more aware of the animatronics than you were the last few nights. Good luck.
